Stay Safe & Continue Your Practice at Home

As many studios have had to do, I have closed my physical studio and I am teaching online. In addition, I am also doing some private one on one work for those students who are interested. I would love to chat and answer any questions that you may have. My morning classes are less challenging, and a nice way to start your practice, especially if you have been away from it for a little while. 


I was a classroom teacher for 17 years so you can feel confident that the instruction you are getting is careful and of a high quality. Positions will be broken down and explained in terms of what you should feel physically and modifications will be given as needed. Please feel free to message me before class if you feel I should know about any pre-existing conditions that will impede your practice.


On Tuesday night there is a Yoga and Fitness class which utilizes bands and light weights for a well rounded workout. On Monday nights at 6:30 pm there is a new Yoga class which will incorporate the yoga wheel to improve flexibility throughout your body and challenge your balance and stability. For more advanced practitioners, there are classes that feature inversion work and arm balances. On Sundays at 10:30 am the Advanced Yoga class will take you through all of the preparatory poses and extensive drills to prepare your body for more advanced transitions and yoga poses. Thursday evenings at 6:30pm also offer the  practitioner interested in increased flexibility a well prepared class in order to take your practice to the next level. Students who take the advanced classes should be comfortable with basic inversions.

About the Classes

Yoga Wheel

New Class that will incorporate many stretches, dynamic and static to help increase flexibility. This will be very helpful for shoulders, upper back, thoracic spine, low back and hips. Every class will touch on all parts of the body and leave participants feeling relaxed and stretched by the end of class.

Sunday Stretch: A very gentle class that emphasizes stretching the entire body. Basic stretching on the mat as well as some yoga will be incorporated without the typical yoga flow. A very good class for working out aches, pains, stiffness and improving range of motion in areas of inflexibility.

Slow FlowYoga: The emphasis in this class will be to incorporate traditional poses into a flowing sequence that gently builds flexibility, balance and strength. Students will work on moving consciously with their breath and gaining body and self-awareness as a result. A strong focus will be placed on learning correct form for those who are new to yoga. 

Vinyasa Flow Yoga:

This class will help develop a strong practice done for purification as well mental and physical health. The class draws upon a variety of styles such as Baptiste, BKS Iyengar, Ashtanga and Tripichore. The focus will include developing flexibility, strength and balance. Classes may incorporate advanced asanas such as inversions and arm balances, backbending and hip opening. In addition, each class will incorporate core work to develop a strong back and abdominals. Modifications will be given to make every yogi feel successful. Emphasis will also be given to those working on growing their personal practice.

Yoga & Fitness: This class is great for people looking for a really efficient workout and yoga experience all in one. The class starts with a half hr. of well planned fitness that includes a variety of upper, lower body and core work using things like dumbbells, resistance bands, ankle weights and swiss balls. The second half of the class is a yoga flow that will help relax the areas we just worked out. A great way to make the most out of your busy schedule.

Pilates

If you would like to focus on core work and tone your entire body, Pilates ia a wonderful low impact method. Debbie West has a fun personality and is highly skilled in the techniques to help any practitioner reach their potential. Check out a class and enjoy how you'll feel.

The online classes have been working very well. I have a large monitor to ensure safe and effective form.  Many cues and lots of direction is given so that participants understand the positions.   The classes will provide a great physical practice with some focus 

on the core as well.

Each class will provide variety and creativity, as well as some basic , and familiar poses .

Owner/ Instructor - Paula C. Paluch

Paula is a mother of 2 children, a wife and an elementary school teacher. Paula became a yoga instructor to share the joy she has found in yoga. Yoga’s physical and spiritual gifts have helped her find balance and strength in her life. She teaches for the town of Lincoln, RI and has a Masters degree in Education from Rhode Island College and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from St. Joseph College in West Hartford, CT. She has completed Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Yogafit training and completed an instructor training course with Baron Baptiste in Utah in the fall of 2009. She is excited to continue learning and growing in this path. In addition, she continues to develop her personal practice by reading widely and studying various forms of yoga such as B.K.S. Iyengar, Rodney Yee, Quantum Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and most recently Tripsichore Yoga.

In 2010 she earned a 200 level certification with Dharma Mittra yoga.
